We specialise in cycle and strength classes designed to suit every individual. Every session is designed to support your progress, whether you're joining an instructor-led class, jumping into a virtual ride, or training independently during staffed hours - with guidance and options available to help you train with confidence at your own pace.
At the heart of H.LAB is community. We’re big believers in connection, in knowing our members beyond just their workouts, and in creating an environment where everyone feels seen and supported. We take the time to understand what you’re working towards, what drives you, and what’s happening outside the gym too - because it all matters.

H.LAB is a name that’s deeply personal to us. The ‘H’ comes from our family name, Hutchinson, grounding the business in who we are and what we stand for. ‘LAB’ is inspired by our long-standing love for our 3 Labrador dogs, a constant part of our lives and a symbol of loyalty, energy, and community. At the same time, we were drawn to the meaning of a ‘lab’ as a place of growth, experimentation, and building something great. Together, H.LAB represents both our story and our vision - a space where people can grow, push boundaries, and become their best.

At H.LAB, we're always looking for innovative ways to make training more engaging, effective, and fun. That's why we've incorporated Butterfly Barbells into our sessions, giving members access to a unique training tool that adds variety and challenge to every workout.
Butterfly Barbells are a versatile all-in-one training tool featuring multiple grip positions and a specially designed shape that combines the benefits of a barbell, dumbbell, kettlebell, and weight plate into one piece of equipment. Their dual-handle design allows for a huge variety of movement patterns while reducing wrist strain and opening up exercises that aren't possible with traditional barbells.
By incorporating Butterfly Barbells into our programming, we can create dynamic workouts that challenge strength, stability, coordination, and endurance in new ways - making every H.LAB session a little different from the rest.

You can book classes via our website or app (coming soon). You will need to create an account with us before you can purchase a membership or lab pass. Select the class you want to attend, and book! Our timetable is released 2 weeks ahead of time!

Every class goes for 45 minutes!
You can come into the lab approximately 10 minutes prior to each class! Our door will shut approximately 5 minutes after class begins to ensure class runs smoothly, and will open back up prior to the next class.
Ride your way! Virtual Lab is a self-guided cycle class, following the session on screen in The Lab. You can book these sessions in like a regular class on via our website or app. The virtual class will begin at the scheduled time.
During staffed hours, come in and ride solo, bring your headphones, hook up to the ICG app and choose from the vast library of virtual classes, or feel free to guide your own! Hours will be advertised each week depending on staffing availability.
The Colour Lab is our Classic cycle class but with a colour twist. Designed around personalised colour zones displayed on your bike screen. Riders work together through the same intervals and colour targets, creating a high-energy team atmosphere - while still training at an intensity tailored to your individual fitness level. To ensure your zones are accurate, all riders are required to complete a short 5-minute FTP test prior to class. This can be completed before the session begins or during the guided warm-up. Your FTP result calibrates your bike zones, allowing the colours on your screen to reflect your own power and effort output.
Please bring a drink bottle (or two for the tougher sessions!) and two towels - one for your handlebars and one to place underneath your bike during class.
Yes! H.LAB is seasonally heated using infrared heating technology.
That means we adjust the temperature throughout the year - keeping the studio at a comfortable, natural temperature during summer and providing a warm environment during the colder months. Our goal isn't to create an overheated room, but rather a comfortable training space where you can move, sweat, and perform at your best.
The added benefit of infrared heating is the gentle, radiant warmth it provides, helping you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in while still enjoying the wellness benefits that infrared heat can offer.
We’re primarily open and staffed during scheduled class times, when you're welcome to pop in and chat with our team. Please note that our front door closes shortly after class begins while sessions are running.
